Work Day 1.5

I have been wanting to clean the garage for awhile now. There are things in there from before we even bought the house and it seems like it just keeps piling up!! So, last weekend we had some time to clean it out. Once we got outside to get started, Ryan asked me what the plan was ... I said, "We're going to clean the garage." He then asked me where were we going to put all of the stuff we didn't need anymore. Well, I hadn't gotten that far.

Whenever we cleaned the garage at my parent's we took all the trash down to the burn pile and got rid of it. It then dawned on me that we don't have a burn pile. Then began a lively discussion. I'll spare you the details, but a few minutes later Ryan came out of the house with a mission. He was on his way to Lowes to rent a truck (a great deal of $20/45 minutes) and we were going to take all of the trash to a dumpster.

So, he quickly filled up the truck and off we headed to the city dump. For a mere $5 we unloaded and made our way back home. How do you even have this much stuff in our teeny garage??

My husband won a gold star that day! We even had time to get rid of the bricks that have been on the side of our driveway for the last two years. :) Those hadn't been bothering me at all (note sarcasm!).

So, it was a mini workday in my book. But a work day nonetheless.
