Our stove went bad. By bad I mean a hazard to everyone. When the oven would be on the top of the stove would get so hot it may burn you. And the back burner acted as if it was completely on when the oven was. And one of the burners never really turned out without some coaxing. Not good. Adios 1980's oven ...

Hola 2012! Quite the upgrade! My only complaint is the drawer underneath is not near as big. It will do though. :)

And poor Ryan. He installed the range hood the other night. Menards said it takes about two minutes. We both knew that wouldn't be the case. Any project in our house unearths issues you may never suspect ... usually revolving around trying to make modern day things fit into a 1945 home.

After two hours it was installed. He was glad. Then he was mad. The fan/light wouldn't turn on. Since it was almost 11pm and he had to be up early for work, we decided it could wait another few days!

And over the weekend, Maggie and Jack had an impromptu band going on in the driveway. They were never singing the same song. Jack was doing a rock-n-roll version of VeggieTales and Maggie was alternating between "Apple Jack" and "Louisiana Saturday Night." It was pure joy!
