Fort Wayne Fun!

Ryan had a free Saturday for what may be until mid-August. We took advantage of it and headed up to Fort Wayne to see the sights!

The only bad thing about the weekend was the weather. Who would have thought in mid-May it would be less than 60 degrees and not sunny. Boo. But, we braved the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo the first day and had a ball! (Can you tell Ryan is unimpressed by the popcorn?)

Of course since we had a pool at our hotel, Maggie had to swim!

And Sunday we visited Science Central -an interactive museum that teaches kids science, math and more.

I think our favorite exhibit was a house built at an angle. It is really hard to tell but we are standing straight up in these pictures ...

The cherry on the top ... getting to stop at Ivanhoes on our way home today. Definitely reminded us of our TU days!

And I can't forget to mention that the whole trip started out with Ryan treating me to one of those new Hawaiian bread roast beef sandwiches at Arbys. I've been wanting one and it was close to Mother's Day so why not? It definitely lived up to the hype!

So glad for this chance to get away as a family.
