Summer Bucket List - Indy

So I have a new craft idea (not ready to be unveiled yet) but it requires me to come up with a list of summer activities that will be on our "bucket list" for the upcoming months.

I sat down today and (with the help of the most recent Indy's Child magazine) began my list:
  • Canoe on Eagle Creek - $25 for 2-hours
  • Go to a drive-in or outdoor movie – maybe Carmel – free (June 7/Shrek; July 12/Madagascar; August 2/Despicable Me) or Fishers – also free
  • Visit Trader’s Point Creamery
  • Fix a farmer’s market meal
  • Visit Tuttle’s Orchard – strawberry fest in June (check site for date bc not up yet)
  • Visit a new playground in Marion County or do a playground hop … visit several new ones in one day!
  • Visit a new library
  • Create art in the park at IMA or visit 100 acres (Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4pm make and take is free!)
  • Ride the carousel at Forest Park (or do mini-golf, swimming, etc)
  • Go to Victory Field
  • Goto a “waterpark” (Carmel Clay is $10/adult and $6/child or Splash Island in Plainfield is $8.75/adult and $7.50/child)
Clearly not exhaustive and there is so much more to do, but it's a start. There is 11 so that is about one activity per week this summer. I don't think that is too lofty. At least I hope not.

Stay tuned for the unveiling of how these items will be displayed (there's a teaser if I've ever read one) and an update on how we are doing with our list!

Love it! Your parenting style is amazing, and makes me feel a bit like a slacker ;) You have inspired me to do the same type of list. Thanks, friend!
